James Visser rides Rainbird trail

James Visser is a seriously skilled rider, everything he throws down looks flawless and makes it so much fun to film! For our newest edit Nicholas Moffett(aerial photographer) and I met up with James Visser at a local dirt jump area in Ramona, CA. This amazing playground for bikes is in jeopardy of getting shutdown and bulldozed, the fate of many awesome biking spots...James and I wanted to capture the essence of the trails the locals refer to as "Rainbird" before it gets lost forever. I filmed with James about 5 months ago at this same location and I must say the progression of the jumps is quite impressive, and the thanks in most part goes to Shane Sin Clair. Looking forward to filming with James more this summer so be on the look out for big things to come!

Shawn Shimkets backyard video

This year I've been fortunate enough to meet some amazing people with incredible athletic ability, including BMX rider Shawn Shimkets. Shawn lives in Escondido, CA and has created an amazing array of dirt jumps or "trails" as the riders prefer to call them in his own backyard! This masterpiece has been in the process for over a year and has a tremendous amount of man hours poured into it. Shawn and his friends have a few different backyard trails they work on and I have been lucky to film a few in 2013. Working with Nicholas Moffett in this edit we were able to capture some amazing aerial scenes with his drone helicopter and a camera mounted underneath. I hope to continue to work with Shawn and like minded people to capture some awesome action footage; it will only get better and better!

Shawn Shimkets poolside backyard jumps

Had another opportunity to shoot at Shawns again last weekend and also planning on heading back up there today possibly to film a bit. Last week we did some aerial shooting with my buddies heli, thanks Nick Moffett as always ;) Got some sweet pics, and one of them ended up on some French BMX site which is nice for exposure! People in France know my name now! Riders: Shawn Shimkets, Braden Banfer, and Blaine Mazzetti.

Wil White riding in San Diego

Wil White has been riding his bike for a long time but just last year he made it into the finals of one of the top Mountain Bike Events in the world, the Redbull Rampage. He is training hard this year in hopes to make it back in the finals this year for the Rampage and he's looking dialed! I hung out with Wil for a day and caught some great footage, he isn't scared to throw huge tricks right away and did some insane drops that I don't think anyone should be doing. Check it out it my latest video!

Raul Lopez-Downtown San Diego

Went Downtown today with a good friend. He had a job interview and asked if I wanted to hang out and shoot afterward. We ended up with some solid shots of an action sport I haven't gotten the privilege to shoot yet! Skateboarding has always been an awesome sport to me, even if I don't do it much anymore. I grew up skating and to be able to shoot it now a days is a treat! I had a really fun time getting these shots, and hope to get out again soon with Raul.

Blaine Mazzetti edit hits the web

My new edit featuring Blaine Mazzetti is being featured on www.canyoudigitbmx.com The video made it to the front page! I'm really stoked considering Blaine and I only worked for one day to get all the shots and I was able to edit the video in just a day! Check it out, enjoy!

Filming with blaine Mazzetti

I've only known Blaine for a month or two but I can say he is one of the most dedicated people to the BMX scene I've met. He would probably be a pro shredder if not for his love of building trails. Blaine is someone that all riders can respect, he is probably best known for his insane dirt jump lines, artfully crafted with the help of a solid crew that has probably put more time into building than anything else in life. It's been really chill hanging out with Blaine and his friends, meeting new riders, and gathering footy a new video for Blaine has been super exciting! I've got to note that Blaine can throw down but he had an injury a while back so he has been getting back into all of his major tricks One thing to mention would be the fact that for the video he threw down a big trick he hadn't done in over 8 months, and it only two tries for him to nail it! Look for the video coming soon, in the meantime here are some shots to get you stoked!

Special thanks to Blaine, Adam, and Shawn for throwing down and being insane builders!
